I am absolutely frustrated by what I am expected to do.First our project was to make basketball videos.But in the beginning we had to create a project.Why?Because Jonah and Jacob planned on doing basketball so because of this we had to go over  to the entire Create and innovate process.But luckily they decided to do something else with our project being Basketball.Why? Because it's something we all can relate to and have a passion for.But even after this process I am still not sure if this project will work out because of the collaboration.One of the things I have done was to research my project trying to find the best posibble way to teach our views about of Basketball in a fun and loving way.We have also thought of ways for feedback such as the comment section.Moving forward we would like a substantial amount of progress.And we will see if our collaboration and project over the coarse of time.Along with having lots of resources and research regarding how to learn the basics of basketball.But overall I think we had made tremendous progress and our projection is to post a video by the next time we meet.

TEAM X Journal Entry 4

     


          The Team X project has come to an end, as it was the final day. We were going to drop our design with an egg inside. Although we felt happy we did not expect to make it this far, because of the low budget and unstable base of the egg,it was highly likely to crack. Before the drop we insured the design was in accordance with our plan and wrapped the egg with the 2 pipe cleaners. I along with my colleagues felt excited about the drop but were still worried that the egg may crack. As it was time to drop the egg halfway up the stairs.The egg survived the drop due to having shock absorbers on the bottom which protected the box and lessened the impact which came with it. At that time we felt joyful that it survived and had more confidence on dropping it from the rotunda. However we  observed the tape on the top had loosened, although we put it back in place the tape was still not as it was. But we  still weren’t as worried as the top usually comes off when testing the design. Once we were done there were 3 groups remaining and we did not anticipate the egg would survive, but with lots of luck we survived.When we dropped the design the parachute took it to the right which made the top open up as it hit the floor. As it landed the box tilted over and the egg came out which was a scary moment, but it did not crack,and it made us the only group in our class that survived the drop. This was an exhilarating moment, but as we look forward to the roof which is the final test. We will  need to secure the box in order for us to be successful.

Team X Journal Entry 3

      The Team X project has been going smoothly,but nearing the final drop we are not certain the egg will survive.The cardboard box,which is the base of our design is not stable which was one of the problems we had to solve.So we decided on using the rest of the money on shock absorbents and tape.Which benefited the base tremendously,but we still had the thin cardboard to secure.The way we cooperated was to evenly divide the tape for the top and bottom of the box.On Tuesday we expect to achieve dropping it from the stair case.But I am uncertain we will survive the rotunda drop due to having a weak base.But if survive we would likely change most of the idea or try to develop the design.

team X Journal Entry 2

 
             The Team X project has been making good  progress .In our design test we experimented how many strings we would use in our experiment.The number we decided on was 4 strings because when we experimented the 4 strings versus 2 strings,.the landing time was not that much different.The whole point of this so we could figure out which one would have the better resistance,which means  the opposite of the atmosphere to forward movement,also called aerodynamic drag.The other being the amount of forcible impact with the landing surface.After conducting the we experiment  our hypothesis was correct, i.e, 4 strings is the best option.The reason we chose 4 string because the more strings pulling the parachute the easier it is to have air resistance.When we dropped our contraption we had a very stable design which let us have a solid drop.The 4 shock absorbers we had put on made a major impact which helped the contraption and prevented cranking the egg upon impact.The other object which made a big difference was the thick cardboard making the landing much reliable.But the thing not doing so well has been our design when floating in the air.Because when we tested it 6 six times the parachute floated the wrong way which makes it hard to aim at the mark.But the one thing we learned has been the 2 pipe cleaners we had bought were quite useful when dropping the design.The pipe cleaners have been responsible for holding the egg in the middle and it has done exactly as we expected and has also been a shock absorber inside.Overall we have made a lot of progress from blog 1 ,and we are ready for Wednesday's drop test.

Team X Entry 1

Our task for the Team X project was to design a contraption that can hold a egg and for it not to crack.This was a mini simulation of how what the mars landing was going to be like such examples  are the egg could be a human and you don’t want it to crack,or how we have a target something like a place to land.The assigned group that I participated in was I.C.A short for Mini Ian,Cyrus and Ahmed.Our job was to create our contraption within 2 weeks.That meant that we needed to imagine our idea the first class,so we decided on a cardboard box that held the egg in and a parachute on top.The next class we got together to go over our ideas.This ended to be an argument but we compromised our plans.We decided to have 4 thick cardboard boxes that we could cut in half to have our sides,having 2 strings connecting it to the parachute.We also added more to our plan,me pitching an idea about having a shock absorber on each side.I also got a idea of wrapping the egg with pipe cleaners and attaching 2 on 2 sides.After we talked about all of these idea’s we wondered if adding some styrofoam inside would do any good.One of the idea’s which was pitched around was if we needed another box inside.Which would be great but with 15 millon left after adding up for our supplies we don’t know for now if it’s worth it.The altimate goal being if we need more reinforcement with the thick cardboard and if more shock obsorbers would be needed.So next class we would want to construct our idea and test it out to take data and to find flaws in our plan to fix.   

Slam dunk

Today I played a mini basketball slam dunk contest it's fun because you can dunk and it's a exercise because u have to jump a lot and it makes u sweat

When I grow up

               When I grow up I want to be in the NBA.The NBA is National Basketball Association.How will it change first the buildings you play in will change,how?well the stadiums will use better and cleaner energy than they use for the jumbo screen and lights.This will make stadiums different and they might even start putting solar panels soon.Being in the NBA requires you to travel to different places to play notably (North America).How will this change first private planes for teams will have to run on something different and not oil to fly.Maybe you could lauch the planes up into the space and use wind or solar energy that's easy to find.You also need to ride cars to the stadium so they might do something like Abu Duabi under ground driverless cars.So that's what I think are going to change so tell me what you think.

Running

I just went running around my house and I feel great.I love running because it would make me have stamina and would make me faster here's a pic.

P.E Activity

Today for 2 hours I just played ball.I like doing this because it makes me a better player and fitter.I love playing basketball and I hope you to.Here's a picture.

IVAN!

Today we've listened to Ivan, a story about a gorilla.While listening I noticed how calm ,and patient he was staying in a cage for 27 years.I would've panicked.I would say this book is great and I highly recommend it.
